About Us

Family Voices Network of Erie County is apart of the Children's Division in Erie County's Department of Mental Health. The entity, was originally created in October of 2004 as a result of a six year federal grant from SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) to develop wraparound services for at risk youth. Family Voices Network of Erie County has now graduated from SAMHSA and continues to help youth and families in our community remain together sucessfully.

We provide support and services for children and youth between the ages of 5 - 17 years that include youth involved with:

  • Foster Care and Adoptive Services
  • Juvenile Justice, Probation and Detention
  • Department of Social Services

Some of the families we serve may have children and youth who are experiencing challenges with some of the following life areas (including but not limited to):
  • serious, imminent risk for out of home placement
  • mental health needs and/or Serious Emotional Disturbance
  • school attendance, grades and peer socialization
  • community involvement with law enforcement, crisis service and/or hospitalizations
