Social Marketing & Evaluation
Our Process
What does the Social Marketing & Evaluation Team process look like and how we work. To develop a team that includes parents, youth and the community requires good leadership and continuous quality improvement. Sometimes it requires the ability to think outside the box when working with parents and youth; and it is possible when you value the resources that are available.
Our Purpose:
The purpose of the Social Marketing & Evaluational Team is:
We are dedicated to promoting the values, strengths, needs and hopes of families and youth in Erie County through social marketing and evaluation activities. Ensuring that our voices are heard throughout the Erie County system of care.

When new members join the team, each are required to fill-out a S.O.M.E. Profile Worksheet. This worksheet helps us identify the unique skill of each team member; and to create a sense of involvement for everyone.

Since we value parents and youth involvement in social marketing and evaluation it's also important to recognize their contributions to the organization. We have created a Community Service Award for parents and youth. Youth are able to use the time allocted to the team as community service credits in school. Hours are calculated for the school year and the certificate is presented in May-June of each year. In addition to parents and youth receiving the $15 stipend, they also feel appreciated when they receivee their certificates as well. Many of our parents would continue involvement in this team whether stipends are received or not.

One of the most important characteristics of working with parents and youth is understanding their concerns and developing solution to address those concerns. We call these concerns possible roadblocks because there are solutions that will work. The solutions listed on the diagram below are solutions we have used successfully to encourage parent and youth engagement on the Social Marketing & Evaluation Team.
